How much does the festival cost?


Admission to the festival is FREE. Ride tickets and food options are an additional fee.




How much do rides costs?


Ticket prices are as follows: $1.00 per ticket Festival Specials: 30 tickets = $25.00 70 tickets = $50.00 $25.00 ALL YOU CAN RIDE WRISTBANDS AVAILABLE FOR THURSDAY ONLY Tickets and wristband prices are subject to change without notice.




What are the ride height requirements?


Height requirements vary by ride. We recommend you check with each ride operator before getting in line.





Fireworks

What time are the fireworks?


The fireworks start at 9:00 pm on Saturday. We encourage you to arrive at least 1-2 hours in advance for prefereed viewing areas. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged to view the show.




Where is the best place to view the fireworks?


The fireworks can be viewed from anywhere in the park and surrounding area.





General

Are pets allowed?


No. Pets of any kind are not allowed. Service animals are permitted.




What are the event hours?


The festival will take place October 21-23, 2021. Hours are as follows: Thursday, October 21 3:00-10:00 pm
Friday, October 22 3:00-10:00 pm
Saturday, October 23 11:00 am - 10:00 pm




What items are not allowed at Mint Hill Madness?


For your safety and the safety of others the following items are not permitted: Pets (service animals welcomed)
Alcohol
Firearms
Bicyles Skateboards Rollarblades
Hoverboards




Do I need to show proof of vaccination to attend Mint Hill Madness?


We highly recommend everyone gets vaccinated. We ask those patrons who are not vaccinated to wear masks. Masks and hand sanitizer stations will be provided throughout the event. On Saturday, the Novant Health Community Cruiser will be available from 12:00-5:00 pm offering COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots to anyone who is eligible.

What is new at Madness 2021?


We are very excited about our partnership with Novant Health - Mint Hill Medical Center.

Thursday and Friday 3:00-6:00 pm a Novant Health Critical Care Helicopter will be on the lower soccer field. Visitors will be allowed to see the helicopter up close and personal, speak to staff, get photos taken, etc.

On Saturday from 12:00-5:00 pm, the Novant Health Community Cruiser will be on site to distribute COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots.

The Marine Corp recruiters will be distributing information and performing drills.

The Miss Mint Hill Scholarship Pageant will take place on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 pm.

Chick-Fil-A is hosting a Spirit Night on Thursday and Friday. Wear your school colors, visit the information booth to enter a drawing for a chance to win a $500 prize package for your school's PTA.

The fireworks show has some additional special effects and promises to WOW the crowd even more than in past years.

Parking

Where do I Park?


General visitor parking is located off Quail Park Drive, next to the softball field. Additional parking located on Bartlett Road is opened as it is needed. Follow all police instruction upon arrival.




Is there handicap parking?


Yes, people with disabilities may park in the main lot at the park. Follow police instruction upon arrival. Be sure your handicap place card is visible at all times.




Where is the event located?


Mint Hill Veterans Park is located at 8850 Fairview Road. If you are using GPS, we suggest searching for Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park. Follow police instruction once you arrive.




Is there a place where I can drop-off/pick-up my children?


Children under the age of 15 should be accompanied by an adult. There is a drop-off/pick-up lane in front of the Korean War Memorial on Fairview Road. Please do not enter the drop-off/pick-up lane until you see your children on the sidewalk. Parents of children, not picked up by 10:30 pm may be ticketed.




Is there a shuttle bus?


Boy Scout Troop 65 will run a shuttle on Saturday evening from the Bartlett Road overflow parking lot to the event.
